In April 2011

• Balmain Sports Medicine welcomes to our team, Aleisha Wade, a new Pilates instructor. Aleisha has completed a bachelor degreee in Exercise and Sports Science and is now studying a Masters of Physiotherapy degree. Aleisha is available for Pilates on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

• Coming soon to Balmain Sports Medicine will be a Lymphoedema Clinic run by one of our massage therapists, Carol Morris. Stay tuned for more details!

• The next rounds of Executive Fit & Fit Mums are starting during the last week of April, with classes available on Wednesdays & Fridays.

• Congratulations to our Dietitian, Caitlin Reid, and her now husband Michael who got married in late March. We wish them all the best for the future!

In March 2011

• We have a new pilates-trained physiotherapist Sally A'Beckett!  Sally comes to us with a wealth of experience in Pilates and will be running private 1-on-1 and semi-private 3-on-1 sessions on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings.

• Congratulations is due to our physiotherapist Craig Gregory, who has completed his Masters of Sports Physiotherapy and now joins James Sutherland and Brett Kemble as an APA Sports Physiotherapist. Well done Craig!

• James and Brett attended the week long APA Level 3 Sports Physiotherapy course including presentations from some of Australia’s best Sports Physiotherapists and Sports Physicians

In February 2011

• After 9 years of "Balmain Sports Physiotherapy" we are going to change our name to.... Balmain Sports Medicine. We have been at our new practice location for two years and feel its time to promote the expanded services we have been offering since our move to Rozelle.

• We have now signed on as a major sponsor to the 'Bay Run 2011' to be held on Sun 7 August.We will be providing information in the months leading in to the event on how to train and making sure you have the right equipment (shoes, nutrition), so you get the best result possible!

• James taught parents / kids about the importance of an 'active warm up' prior to playing sport at the NSW U12s Water Polo tournament at Dawn Fraser pool
